The Kansas City Chiefs signed former Los Angeles Chargers outside linebacker Tourek Williams Monday afternoon.

Williams, who stands at 6 feet 4 and 262 pounds, will join the Chiefs on Tuesday for the first of 10 OTA (organized team activity) practices allowed by NFL rules.

Here are four things to know about Williams:

1. Williams is entering his fifth NFL season

Williams, who is just 26 years old, was drafted by the Chargers in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Florida International. He played in 44 games with six starts over his four years with the Chargers-amassing 45 tackles, two sacks, two passes defensed and a forced fumble.

Williams played in all 16 games for the Chargers last season.

2. Williams had a knack for special teams

There were only four players on the Chargers' roster who played more special teams snaps last season than Williams' 230, and none surpassed his total of nine special teams tackles.

3. Williams had a standout college career

During his time at Florida International, Williams had 150 total tackles, including 45 for loss, 18 sacks, seven pass deflections and two forced fumbles. He was a three-time All-Sun Beltplayer during his career.

Williams' 18 sacks rank second in school history.

4. Williams comes from a powerhouse high school program

Williams attended Miami Norland High School in Florida, which is the same alma mater as former Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe.

It was also the home of Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro receiver Antonio Brown, Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson, Minnesota Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes, New York Giants offensive lineman Ereck Flowers and free agent linebacker Antwan Barnes.
